gone

We are all lost at this point. I think it'd be better if I didn't try to find my way back.

Well, from what I could find...I can't find a lot...

Rafi "Right" is throwing down the peer pressure. This is how I ended up with a MySpace. Darn those friends. Facebook? I've never even been on the site. What the heck is on it anyways. Should I? Would I? Who knows. Eventually? Probably... Maybe. Off to YouTube for some random video searches. Oh, and it's almost Spring Break. Let's do something people.

So... I may have an opportunity to move to Germany or Japan. Or stay here. The Navy is calling my dad away and I might go with him. I'd love to go to Germany. In just a few hours you can reach just about all of the most wonderful places. I've always wanted to visit Europe. Living there would be awesome. When I lived in Panama, the Navy wanted my dad to go to Italy. Just short of leaving Panama, he was told to go to San Diego. That chance was gone. And that's how I ended up here. Japan would be cool too. But I'm definitely leaning towards Germany. As of this moment, I don't know when my dad's orders are going to be made. I don't want to let my dad be away for 2 years by himself. My mom is considering going. My brother would leave for Germany in a heartbeat. Not so much Japan. For a Filipino, he's not so much into Asian culture at all. I have to figure out what I'm going to do. It'd be great to go as a family, but college is going to be a problem. I've set this plan for myself to be transferring to UC San Diego and graduating there. Depending on when my dad's orders come in, I don't know if that plan will go on. I may just have to stay here. And have chance number two gone. It's very complicated at this point. Nothing is concrete as of now. A complete question mark. We'll see how this all pans out. My life is a mystery to me.

"Random thoughts for Valentine's day, 2004 2009. Today is a holiday invented by greeting card companies to make people feel like crap."

"Wish me a happy Valentine's Day when you call. That'd be... nice!"

"My life has become a boring pop song and everyone's singing along."

I don't know how I feel about Joseph Gordon-Levitt breaking into pop songs...

Jan. 1st. I'm not one for making yearly resolutions. So, let's not go there. 2008 was not exactly what I expected. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing. Graduated high school. First semester of college. Turned 18. Hmmm... Spent most of the holidays with the family. Made up for the rather large disconnect in the latter part of the year. So December. Finished the Fall semester. Aced. Hung out with friends. "Gingerbread" houses. Christmas filled with coffee and movie giftcards from aunts and uncles. Decided to kill most of the cards watching Milk with Ally. Watched Valkyrie with my dad and brother. Sucks already knowing the outcome of that movie... I watched The Curioius Case of Benjamin Button with them too. Christmas morning church didn't pan out from sleeping so late, so all the Corpus Christi mass times were gone. I ended up going to Mater Dei for the first time. And I got sick from the rain with the church doors left open... Day before New Year's Eve, cleaned the entire house. Decided on colors to paint my walls. For the first major thing to do in 2009 is to redo my walls. I'll make sure to post pictures of before and after. And I'm off...

I got an e-mail from my old best friend when I lived in Panama. His name is Ariel and he now lives in Virginia. It's not said like the little mermaid, but like "ah-ree-el." Not "air-ee-ul." I remember how he would always get annoyed when people said it wrong. Haha. I haven't heard from him in a while so I took some time to look through old photo albums. I was trying to find a picture of him, but I noticed that the album cabinet was missing a few. So no go on that part. I did happen to find a picture of when I went fishing with my dad and brother. I look so dork-ish. And I'm wearing pink! Haha. I also found some photos of my parents when they were in their high school - college age. Considering how my dad pretty much came from nothing, he had some style. Haha. But I can't stop staring at his pants... I can't believe my dad was in a band growing up. That doesn't sound like him. My mom's pic was on a school field trip to I have no idea. I have no idea what it would have been like growing up in the Philippines, since I've never been there. I'm the only one of my immediate family that wasn't born there. Weird.

So I made a new LJ. I had my old one for so long. I thought I might as well start off new. Today is my eighteenth birthday. It feels incredibly anti-climactic. I swear I feel a lot more older than this though. I should have been a baby of the eighties. Pretty sure. I'm just glad that I'll be able to get into the House of Blues shows without a 25&up parent/guardian. Thank goodness for that. Sorry that was random. It's been a couple weeks into college. I haven't really made any new friends other than ones that I've had already. I did meet a couple people in my math 244 class, but they both ended up dropping the class. I need new friends. Not that my old ones are bad. It's just nice to meet new people. I'm quite bored right now. I guess being social hasn't always been my strong suit. So hello to anyone out there. Why don't I share something things about me.

Interests include music, art, photography, films, and books.

No particular order to any of these.

Music: Just about anything. I'm pretty much open to any music. So if you have any suggestions, share. Some bands I listen to are Jack's Mannequin, the Beatles, Something Corporate, Thrice, Hotel LIghts, Taking Back Sunday, Treaty of Paris. There is long list. Just anything... I like it when people give me something new to listen to.

Books: Goodness. Just about any Kurt Vonnegut novel. Slaughter-house Five. Cat's Cradle. You get the picture. Chuck Klosterman's Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs. Killing Yourself to Live: 85% of a True Story. George Orwell's 1984. Alan Lightman's Einstein's Dreams. Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. Ray Bradbury is also another good author.  Farenheight 451. Elie Wiesel's Night. JD Salinger's Catcher in the Rye. Stephen Chbosky's The Perks of Being a Wallflower. There is a lot more. But for clarification. I don't read books by JK Rowling or Stephanie Meyer.

Update later for after I go out with the family.

exciting, no?
